Trinity Anglican church will offer a special Veterans Day Service at their current location on Sunday. November 11th, 6:00pm.
Whereas most often services of this type are designed to be a general honorific for veterans, this service is different. It is designed with the veteran in mind first and foremost. This prayer service will include a litany of prayers for those who have gone through combat, deployment or service, as well as other ceremonies to help veterans heal from the spiritual and moral wounds of war. “If contemporary America doesn’t develop ways to publicly confront the emotional consequences of war, those consequences will continue to burn a hole through the vets themselves.” ― Sebastian Junger, Tribe: On Homecoming and Belonging. Junger, in the same book considered the idea of services that might do just that. This service is intended to accomplish that end. All veterans are invited, and Reboot Combat Recovery Alumni are also invited as well. If you would like more information, please contact Rev. Matthew Mirabile at 603-332-4121 or email at [email protected].

It has been thirty years since Trinity first formed as a parish and twenty five years since the property was left to us and we built our wonderful church. Now it is time to celebrate the achievement and work that so many have contributed to maintain this parish. It is also time to look forward to what God is going to do next.
What better why to remember the past and anticipate a bright future than with a Jubilee Celebration! On Saturday, November 3rd, from, 2:30 pm to 7:00 pm we will gather for food, a raffle, prizes, contra-dancing, dinner, and fellowship. There will be presentations of the history of the church, as well as salutations from Bp. Brian Marsh, comments from Fr. Don Wilson, and Fr. Mirabile will talk about the vision and goals of the parish moving forward. , All the festivities will take place in a giant heated tent in the rear parking lot, and in the church. Why not plan to attend? Register online here <--- As a Parish on Purpose everything we do is about growth. Not merely for the sake of adding people to pews, but to expand the Kingdom of God and make an impact in our community and beyond. Only God brings real growth and that is our prayer. On Sunday September 16th we were happy to receive 14 new members to the parish, including spouses and children (not all pictured left). Most of these have been with us for several months and all have become engaged in the life of the parish. They have also gone through our new members classes. Our new members include Julie Heard and her son Avery. She has been our organist since last April and Her husband Bredin is stationed with the Air Force at Pease. Most people already know Brenda Anair who actually joined the church over a year ago but was officially received at this service. She is currently the vice president of the St. Anne’s guild and doing a great job! Brenda was joined by her daughter Angela Mastrella and her daughters Irie and Acadia. Angela is teaching the toddlers in Sunday School and recently created a wonderful learning space for them. Dave and Katie Balian live in Rochester. Katie’s father was an Episcopal Priest and she is helping to produce the bulletin. Dave is a social worker and at one time ran a homeless shelter for families. Fr. Robert Philp and His wife Beth served in this diocese before moving south. They returned last spring and Fr. Philp assists in the liturgy. We are currently running another new members class and the next New Members Reception Service is planned for November 18th. We hope to see you there to welcome another group of new members God is gifting to the church. Let us keep them in prayer. |
