The Marsh-Gilmour Scholarship Fund
The purpose of the Marsh-Gilmour Scholarship Fund is to provide scholarships and/or grants to members or children of members of Trinity Anglican Church. The Scholarship is a merit-based gift designed to help defray the cost of a college or vocational education.
General Information
Where the amount available for scholarship is initially small, most likely only one scholarship per year would seem possible, however multiple scholarships/grants are allowed.
There is no requirement to award a scholarship every year.
The selection of the person to receive the scholarship will be determined by the Vestry and Wardens.
The scholarship may be used for the purchase of books, tuition, or dorm fees.
Eligibility Criteria
The scholarship will not be awarded until the successful completion of the first semester. The school or college must be an accredited and reputable institution.The person receiving the scholarship must have been be an active youth from Trinity Anglican Church.
Application Process
Applicant must submit the following:
1. Completed typed or printed application form
2. Letter of application addressed to the Vestry of Trinity Anglican Church containing a brief explanation of your history of involvement with Trinity Anglican Church, and what the church has meant to you..
3. A complete college transcript
4. Applications must be submitted to the Senior or Junior Warden by August 10,2015 for
the 2015-2016 academic year.
